The short answer is yes, provided that you do your homework and plan your trip wisely.
- Is Medical Tourism a good option for me?
With the rising costs of medical care in the United States, many types of treatment are becoming too burdensome for individuals to pay out of pocket. If the treatment is elective in nature or is not covered by any insurance (partly or not at all), Medical Tourism is certainly an option to be considered. However, all of the information does not necessarily reflect a complete assessment of the doctors qualifications. It is important that you verify the doctors credentials, education, training, medical licensure, specialty of practice and Board Certifications. It is also important to determine what hospitals the doctor has privileges at and what the conditions are of the location where you will have your surgery. - Are the hospitals and facilities safe?
Equally important to the doctor s experience is the condition of the facilities and the equipment that is being used. It is essential that the hospital or clinic as well as the equipment being used is safe, clean and well maintained. Again, the internet can provide you information about hospitals and facilities, but doesn’t necessarily provide you a complete assessment. A key aspect of our service to you is that we have taken the time to personally visit each facility to evaluate it as a whole, from the location to the personnel.
